Make a payment to IRS
This page is great for checking balances due, making estimates at any time throughout the year, etc. Paying electronically through their system is the fastest surest way to make sure they have received your payment and that they apply it to the type of tax and the appropriate period. If you mail a check, they have been known to make mistakes with where they apply them, and we have seen many times the mail system fail.
Get an IP PIN from the IRS
To keep someone from being able to file a fraudulent return for you, your spouse, or any dependent, each can obtain an Identity Protection Pin number from the IRS which keeps any bad actor from being able to file an electronic return in your honor. Most tax fraud is done by filing a fake return and all those are done electronically (Fraudsters don’t have the patience to wait for a check in the mail). If you don’t have one, you should get one. Now. Important to note, they will send you a new one each year (in the mail – although you can get online and retrieve it if the mail fails you) The IP PIN is valid for any return filed during that calendar year. So, if you happen to be filing multiple years for some reason in 2024, you would use the 2024 IP PIN they sent you for each of them.
Pay Oklahoma Taxes
While you can set up a user account here, it is not required to make payments. You can simply click on I want to Make a Payment. Inside the payment screen, just say no to the question asking if you are using a coupon. There is no coupon.
